Learn the Scriptures
Our next Bible Study will be held
next week,
Wednesday,
October 15
- we will be studying the the 15th and 16th Chapters of
St. Luke's Gospel.
On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of each month, we
have been meeting in the Church Hall at 7:00pm, to read
and discuss portions of the Bible. We have started
with the writings of Saint Luke the Apostle.
The Holy Gospel
according to Luke:
We read and learn how the Apostle Luke transmitted the teachings
of Christ to the Early Christians. Learn what was
important to the first Christians and how it is just as
necessary for us today!
The
Acts of the Apostles:
We will read
about the activity of the early Church and learn about the
origins of Holy Tradition
The discussions will be guided by
the writings and commentary of the Holy Church Fathers.
All that is needed to attend the study group is a Bible
and the desire to learn!

A Special Guest
Christina Semon, a Missionary Worker for the Orthodox Christian
Mission Center, joined us for Liturgy and Coffee Hour this
past summer on Sunday, July 13. Christina will be
working in Romania for the next few years. Christina spoke
with us about the work being done in Romania by the Orthodox
Church and how the Romanian Church has asked the OCMC for
Missionary help to administer some of the social programs
offered to those in need in Romania. Please join us
in praying for Christina in her Orthodox Christian Mission
endeavors.
Read more here about how you may help Christina with
her work in the OCMC.
